In the Special Meeting of Board of Directors of TECNOBAN INC. hold on April 5TH 2014, our company established the goals for the calendar year of 2014 in all areas of Social and Environmental Responsibility.
 
Here are some of the most important points approved by the Board of Director:
 
 

A.ENERGY CONSERVATION

 
During 2013 TECNOBAN obtained a reduction of 5.1% in the company KWH total consumption in comparison with 2012. 
 
The goal for 2014 is to reduce the total consumption in 2% KWH in comparison to 2013.
 
 

B.WASTE MANAGEMENT AND RECYCLING

 
TECNOBAN maintained the volume of waste generated per month but increased the amount of recycled material to the levels projected. This achievement was basically the result of an improved system of waste classification in the area of packaging.
 
As per today, TECNOBAN recycled 100% of cardboard, aluminum cans, glass and toners generated monthly. From the total amount of generated waste per month, 73% is recycled.
 
The new goal for 2014 is to increase in 1% the recycled amount of materials specially PET, LDPE and paper (unsolicited mailings).
 
 
 

C.GREENHOUSE EMISSIONS

 
As a result of a reduction in the energy consumption during 2013 and the increasing use of courier services, TECNOBAN was able to reduce the total amount of CO2 Equivalent from 24.4 MT in 2012 to 23.0 MT in 2013.
 
The goal for the fiscal years of 2014 and 2015 is to maintain the same level of 23.0 MT per year. 
 
D.SAFETY AND HEALTH WORKPLACE
 
Not significant changes have been registered in this matter during 2013.
 
TECNOBAN maintain zero (0) work-related injuries and illnesses since established in 2004.
 
 
E.COMPLIANCE WITH APPLICABLE LAW, REGULATION AND CONTRACTUAL REQUIREMENTS IN OPERATIONS THAT INTERSECT WITH COMPANY’S ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGE SYSTEM.
 
Although TECNOBAN is not subject to any penalty or fine related to environmental the company meets the following standards, regulations and contractual requirements relating to the System Management Environment:
